Chelsea Flower Show
Hello all! I know its been a long time since I posted, but I must apologise since I was on vacation in the sunny isles of the Mediterranean. I was preparing my tan for the London summer social calendar let's say... :-p Well before I left I did a quick pit stop in the Chelsea Flower Show; my second visit since I moved in London. It was as always extraordinary. I went early in the morning so it wasn't as packed with crowds, but still there were a lot of people gathering around the sponsored themed gardens around the Pavilion. However, as always, the best are inside the Pavilion. Different countries create original and characteristic flower arrangements, there are varieties of strawberries, orchids e.t.c. This year I was obsessed with the Mexican flower creation, recreating an ancient inspired garden eden.
I was also excited about the Grenada exhibit with its spice samples and incense perfume.
Another excitement the ice cream inspired taste varieties of the Chrysanthemum, depending on the colour of the flower.
And finally the potato rich worldwide variety.
And the best surprise? Flower arrangements inspired from Alice in Wonderland; as 2015 is a year influenced by the named fairytale.
As for the sponsored theme gardens around I wasn't overly excited. I would say maybe less than half of them are really unique this year. And those that were, where really interesting.
