The Mandrake Hotel

There is a new hot opening in town, the Mandrake Hotel, a boutique hotel near Tottenham Court road. However, it’s not that famous for its modern rooms as its restaurant and its bar. 

The restaurant, Serge and le Phoque, is the Michelin-stared one from Hong Kong from French restaurateurs Charles Pelletier and Frédéric Peneau, who bring their own modern twist on the French cuisine. 

Great for dinner with your friends or your better half, it has few and wonderful dishes, like the fish ceviche or the pigeon. As for dessert they have their own version of the macaroon, the Daquoise, which is a must.

The bar on the other hand features some good cocktails and a DJ on weekend nights, plus a hidden cool seating area. 

Colourful birds, velvet, a hidden terrace, romantic lightning and eccentric art complete the picture. 

Keep in mind for drinks there is a hard door, and a guest list.
