Let's try a hopper
It's in Soho. It's Sri Lankan. It takes no reservations. And it is always packed with people. Colourful, vibrant and like a travellers den. I am talking about new hot spot Hoppers. Even though I can't eat spicy food I loved that little place.
The dishes are small, so you can try few different ones.
It is famous for its hoppers and dosas, where it takes its name. The hopper comes in a bowl shape and the dosa in a cone shape. I dont know how to describe it better but we can say its taste is similar to a sour pancake and comes with some sauces to dip it in. I tried the egg hopper.
Do also try the Lotus Root, cashew & ash plantain fry (its like chips), calamari fry, hot butter devilled shrimps, black pork kari, pilau rice and the lamb and vegetable kari looked great as well.
I tried some nice Wattalapan milk drink.
