RA Anti-Garden Party

Yes I know another post about Royal Academy; but I am like a kid in a candy store since I became a member of RA and discovered all these wonderful events and tours. So the event was "Anti-Garden Party" with a theme of Alice in Wonderland (yes its the fairytale's year). Visitors had to wear imaginative hats, inspired by the theme, and the best ones would win on a hat competition. I saw some amazing handmade/homemade hats with teacups, playing cards, treats and wonderful colours going around; I felt boring on my one colour plain hat...

There was a band playing music, hat making workshop, portrait making sessions, makeup glittering sessions, food and cocktails, a wonderland afterparty, a cricket field and a "different" tea party that included a 15 minute theatrical spot with the mad hatter and Alice and all the "silent guests" joining every once in a while.

Plus people could visit the Summer Exhibition with their pace and outside of the busy hours of the day.

It was a fun event to join for once.
